Your company letterhead is often the first impression that someone gets of your business. If done properly, it can give the reader a glimpse into your business personality. To ensure that you are sending the right message, make sure that you consider these four components when you sit down to design your letterhead:

Paper Type: Letterhead paper comes in all different colors, designs and weights. iClickn’Print offers a wide-variety of letterhead paper to ensure that you can find one that matches your business’ personality. We even have holiday and seasonal options that can be used for special announcements or events throughout the year.

Layout: This may seem like an easy decision. Take your company name and contact information, and center it at the top of the page, right? Maybe not. If your business has a logo that already contains all your contact information, you may want to place that logo in the top right or left corner of your letterhead, or you may want to have your header design span the entire top of the page from left to right. The key is to keep your design consistent throughout your print materials so that you build a brand that is recognizable and familiar.

Color Scheme: This component is normally determined long before you create your letterhead. Chances are good that your business has already established “signature” colors that are used throughout your logo, marketing materials and uniforms. These are the same colors that you want to carry into your letterhead design in order to reinforce your brand.
Most important, choose a design and design components that you like and that fit your business. Once you understand what message you are trying to send and how you want people to perceive your business, the rest will fall into place.
