Photo canvases are images that have been printed on canvas in order to give the illusion that they were painted. They create an amazing focal point in any room and are unique pieces made from your very own photographs.

Having one printed by a local or online print shop can be expensive. So, how do you get the look of a photo canvas for a fraction of the cost? Follow these simple steps and you’ll be hanging your canvas before you know it.

  • Access to the iClickn’Print Design Center (Comes FREE with Geographics & Royal Brites photo paper

  • Gallery wrapped canvas (available at any craft store)

  • Spray Adhesive

  • Acrylic paint (black or any color that compliments your image)

  • Mod Podge craft sealer

Choose an image that you would like to have display on canvas and upload it into the iClickn’Print Design Center.

Customize your image if you desire by adding text, shapes or colors.

Choose the size of your project and the size of your photo paper. iClickn’Print’s layering technology will automatically format your image to print, in pieces, on your desired photo paper size. Click print.

Paint the outside edges of your canvas in your chosen paint color, allow to dry.

If your image is broken up on several pieces of photo paper make sure that they are laid out the way the finished product will be. Trim any images if necessary to fit the face of the canvas.

Spray the face of the canvas with adhesive and paste the image to the canvas, being careful that there are no air bubbles under the photo paper. Allow to dry according to instructions on the adhesive.

Once the adhesive has dried, apply a layer of Mod Podge over the top of the images and the side of the canvas. Mod Podge comes in either a gloss or matte finish so the look of the finished project is up to you. The Mod Podge will not only give the canvas a nice finish, it will also seal your project.

It’s that simple. Once your canvas has dried you’re ready to display it proudly. Your friends and family will be asking where you had it done.
